Sean “Diddy” Combs could leave federal prison earlier than previously projected, after his release date was moved forward again.

The latest update gives the 56-year-old music mogul a new projected release date of February 5, 2028, more than two weeks earlier than the date previously listed.

Combs is currently serving his federal sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution, Fort Dix, in New Jersey.

According to the latest listing from the US Federal Bureau of Prisons, his projected release date is now February 5, 2028. His previous projected date had been February 20, 2028.

The date has changed several times since Combs began serving his 50-month federal prison sentence in October 2025.

His release was initially projected for June 2028 before being moved to April, February and January. It was later adjusted to February 20, 2028, and has now been moved again to February 5.

The reason for the repeated changes has not been publicly explained.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons has previously said it does not discuss individual inmates' confinement conditions, release plans or reasons for changes to projected release dates, citing privacy, safety and security considerations.

Combs is serving his sentence following his 2025 federal trial.

A jury found him guilty on two counts of transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution.

However, he was acquitted of the more serious charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.

A judge subsequently sentenced Combs to 50 months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release.

The latest release-date adjustment comes weeks after reports that Combs was involved in an altercation with another inmate at Fort Dix.

Reports cited by the Daily Mail said Combs and the inmate initially pushed each other before punches were exchanged.

Guards reportedly intervened, after which Combs was placed in solitary confinement.

However, prison officials did not confirm the reported incident.

Combs' representatives have also previously denied reports that he violated prison rules. They have said the entertainer is concentrating on sobriety, self-discipline and personal growth while serving his sentence.

Although the Bureau of Prisons' latest listing gives February 5, 2028 as Combs' projected release date, it is not necessarily a final or guaranteed date.

His projected release date has already changed several times since he entered federal custody, meaning the Bureau of Prisons could revise it again.

For now, February 5, 2028, is the latest projected date listed for the former Bad Boy Entertainment founder.

Diddy's projected prison release has moved forward again, but the latest date remains subject to change.

For Combs, his federal sentence continues while his projected return to life outside prison now stands at February 5, 2028.

A date can change, but the sentence is still being served
