The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has begun the release of results for candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), starting with those who participated in the first day of the exercise on April 16.

According to the board, the results for candidates under the Day 1 session are expected to be made available on Friday, April 17, 2026, with updates rolling out progressively across its official result platforms.

The announcement was made through JAMB’s official communication channels, where the board confirmed that UTME results are being processed and released in phases. Candidates who sat for the examination on April 16 are the first set to receive access to their scores.

JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin stated that candidates should expect results to be released within the stated window, adding that further public updates would be provided once all batches begin appearing on the system.

The board also reiterated that result release is part of its standard post-examination procedure, where scripts are processed and uploaded incrementally rather than all at once.

As the 2026 UTME results continue to roll out, attention now shifts to how quickly subsequent batches will be released and whether system stability can be maintained throughout the process.

For candidates, the immediate concern remains access — but for the board, the priority is ensuring accuracy and integrity across all results before final completion of the cycle.
