A night of football glory quickly turned chaotic as celebrations spilled into unrest on the streets of France.

Thousands of Paris Saint-Germain fans poured into the streets after the club's historic UEFA Champions League triumph over Arsenal. But what began as a celebration ended with hundreds of arrests, injured police officers, and widespread property damage.

French authorities said more than 400 people were arrested nationwide, with the majority of the detentions taking place in Paris. Crowds gathered around the Champs-Élysées and the Parc des Princes stadium as supporters celebrated PSG's European success.

While many fans celebrated peacefully, clashes erupted in some areas. Fireworks, flares, and vandalism were reported, prompting police to deploy tear gas to restore order. Several vehicles and businesses were also damaged during the disturbances.

The violence affected residents and businesses in parts of Paris, with some areas experiencing disruptions as security forces moved in to control the crowds. Seven police officers were reported injured during the unrest.
French Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez strongly condemned the incidents, describing the violence as "absolutely unacceptable."

Despite the disturbances, PSG's official victory celebrations are expected to continue, with players scheduled to take part in a parade near the Eiffel Tower before attending a reception hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron.

Many football fans celebrated a historic victory, but for others, the night became a reminder of how quickly joy can turn into chaos.
