U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that American military action against Iran could resume if ongoing peace talks in Pakistan fail to produce an agreement.
In an interview with the New York Post, Trump said U.S. warships have been reloaded with “the best ammunition” and are prepared for possible strikes if negotiations collapse. He insisted the U.S. military remains fully ready, adding that previous operations had already “blown them apart.”
“We have a reset going… we’re loading up the ships with the best weapons ever made,” Trump was quoted as saying, stressing that any failure in diplomacy would lead to a strong response.
Earlier, Trump also posted a cryptic message on his Truth Social platform describing a “WORLD’S MOST POWERFUL RESET,” without giving further details.
The comments come as high-level diplomatic talks involving U.S. Vice President JD Vance are reportedly underway in Islamabad, where American and Iranian representatives are expected to engage in critical negotiations aimed at stabilising tensions.
According to reports, Washington has maintained a military presence in the region while pushing for a diplomatic settlement, with officials warning Tehran against “playing” the United States during talks.
The situation reflects rising tensions between both countries, with diplomacy and military pressure running in parallel as efforts continue to prevent further escalation in the Middle East.
